①三颗滴溜滚圆的小鸟蛋躺在一堆枯草之中,大小如同孩子们玩的玻璃弹子,颜色也奇特,天蓝色,隐约有一些墨绿的斑点,谁说这些不是精巧别致的工艺品呢!三颗鸟蛋被一位同伴小心翼翼地装进了口袋,于是大家重新上路。
②没走出二百米,怪事就来了。一只白胸脯的灰褐色小鸟,从后面追了过来,绕着我们的头顶兜圈子,嘴里发出一种急促不安的啼唤。不多久,又飞来了第二只鸟。两只鸟不停地绕着我们飞。
③大家谁也没说一句话,都停住了脚步,呆呆地看着这一对奇怪的小鸟。它们越飞越低,有时甚至差点扑到我们脸上来;它们的叫声也越来越急促,似乎在愤愤地咒骂着什么。
④大约站了五分钟,两只小鸟丝毫没有放弃的样子,依然围着我们急急地飞,愤愤地叫。山里长大的同伴突然喊起来:“还愣什么,快把蛋还它们呀!”
⑤拾蛋的同伴赶紧从口袋里掏出鸟蛋,慌里慌张地把它们搁到一块大石头上。然而所有的人都傻了眼:三颗鸟蛋全碎了……
⑥两只小鸟敛起翅膀,停落在那块大石头上。我们都紧张地注视着它们,不知它们将如何动作。两只小鸟绕着碎了的鸟蛋蹦跳着,嘴里停止了啼鸣,似乎是既无惊愕,也无悲哀。大约过了两三分钟,它们停止了蹦跳,盯着脚边的碎蛋,面对面呆呆地站定了……
