Zhao Shiqing noted that Chongqing had welcomed senior national and sub-national officials from Hungary since last year. During these visits, the Hungarian side had a deep engagement in Chongqings important fairs and exhibitions, such as the Belt and Road Conference on Science and Technology Exchange, the Smart China Expo, and the Chongqing International Travel Agent Conference. Both sides keep up frequent exchanges. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary and it is a good timing to start new cooperation in various sectors, enhance people-to-people bonds, achieve win-win outcomes, and realize common development by seizing this festival as an opportunity.
Pál Rókusfalvy reviewed the friendly exchanges between Hungary and China and introduced Hungarian wine. He hoped that the people of Chongqing could gain a deeper understanding of Hungary through the enjoyment of fine wine. He also expected more practical and fruitful cooperation in sectors such as trade, culture, and tourism.
At the festival, Chongqing Gaund Holding Group Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Wine Marketing Agency of the Prime Ministers Office of Hungary. They will jointly foster exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Hungary in realms including business and tourism. Besides, Chongqing Publishing Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Liszt Institute–Hungarian Cultural Center Beijing to jointly publish a travel book written by Kompolthy Jób, a Hungarian writer, about his visit to China.
