English version of Hi I’m China to be released, showcasing the great beauty of China to the world

At the 29th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), a promotion event was recently held for the “Great Beauty of China” book series, including the English version of Hi Im China, as well as the “Ancient Charm Treasures” series and the “Hand-Drawn City Treasures” series.

Yue Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), stated in his speech that as a comprehensive international communication institution, CICG has been dedicated to enhancing the nations cultural soft power and the global influence of Chinese culture in recent years. They aim to facilitate the broader reach of Chinese culture to the world and promote mutual understanding and exchange between Chinese and foreign civilizations. The “Great Beauty of China” series, led by the China Pictorial Publishing House under their jurisdiction, currently consists of five series and 27 varieties, with over a dozen officially published works, using photography and hand-drawn art to showcase the great beauty of China to readers.

Yue Tao believes that Hi Im China (English version) stands out as an excellent representation of the “Great Beauty of China” series. The phenomenally successful work meticulously crafted by the Institute for Planets, delineates the geographical, economic, and cultural significance of China. The English edition of Hi Im China, which is being highlighted today, can generate more interest among readers around the world about China and reveal its beauty.

It was introduced that the “Great Beauty of China” publishing project has been implemented for over three years, and multiple varieties that have been published have successively entered various key support projects of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. The market distribution has generally achieved the expected goals. Particularly, the book “Beijing Treasures” and the “Hand-Drawn Beijing” series of international publicity albums have entered the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Beijing Cultural Guidance Fund projects. They were also highlighted during the “Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue” event.

As a sub-series of the “Great Beauty of China” series, “Ancient Charm Treasures” includes works such as Ancient Chinese Temples, Ancient Chinese Towns, Ancient Chinese Residences, and Ancient Chinese Bridges. Through original hand-drawn artwork, they strive to embody the artistic content, diverse products, life perspectives, and international expressions of the works.
