2. Id like to ask you to do sth. 我想让你……

Id like to ask you to play table tennis with me. 我想请你和我一起打乒乓球。

3. Id like to invite you to do sth. 我想邀请你……

Id like to invite you to visit my uncles farm this Saturday.

我想邀请你本周六去参观我叔叔的农场。

4. It would be my pleasure if you would do sth. 如果你能够……那将是我的荣幸。

It would be my pleasure if you would join us for dinner tonight.

如果今晚你能和我们一起用餐，我将不胜荣幸。

5. May I / we have the honor of doing sth.？ 我 / 我们可以荣幸地……吗？

May we have the honor of treating you to dinner on Friday？

【接受邀请】

【拒绝邀请】

1. No， thank you. 不，谢谢。

2. Im afraid I cant. 恐怕我不能来。

3. Im sorry， I cant. I have to ... 很抱歉，我不能，我必须……

4. Id love to， but ... 我很愿意，不过……

5. Thats kind of you， but Im afraid ... 你真太好了，但恐怕……

6. Thank you very much， but ... 非常感谢，但是……

7. I wish I could， but ... 我希望能来，但是……

8. Id love to， but Im afraid I have no time. 我想去，但是恐怕我没时间。

【情景对话】

Mary： Jack and Ben， can you come to my birthday party on Saturday night？

Ben： Yes， Id love to. What time is it？

Mary： It starts at six oclock.

Ben： OK， I will come on time.

Mary： Thank you， Ben. What about you， Jack？

Jack： Im sorry. I really have to study for the mid?exam.

Mary： Well， you can study in the morning and the afternoon and come to my party for an hour， cant you？

Jack： Yes， but， well， I have to help my mother this weekend， too. I am really sorry.

Mary： Maybe Im asking you to come another time.
