Taizhou Stinky Tofu泰州臭干

My home town is famous for its delicious food. Today， I want tointroduce our famous food—Taizhou stinky tofu.

Stinky tofu， which originally comes from Changsha， Hunan Province， is a traditional Chinese food witha long history. It is said that one day， ZhuYuanzhang， emperor of the Ming Dynasty，was so hungry that he could not bear it andpicked up a piece of tofu which had beenthrown. After eating it， he thought it wasthe most delicious food that he had tasted.Therefore， after the battle， he shared it withhis soldiers. Thanks to him， stinky tofu has been known throughout the country.

Although stinky tofu smells bad， it tastes yummy. Topped with choppedgreen onion（ 切碎的青蔥） and sauce， taking a big bite， we will feel rich anddelicious soup dancing in our mouth. There are a variety of tofu， such as friedtofu， dried bean curd， boiled tofu and so on.

Stinky tofu is not only a kind of food， but also represents a kind ofextremely unique custom. It definitely will hit the spot when you try it and itmay become one of your personal favorites.
