Chinese textile and garment exports rebounded in March

According to data released by the General Ad—ministration of Customs on April 13th, China's textile and garment exports stopped falling and rebounded in March, which was more than that in February this year and the same period last year, and the overall export stabilized. In terms of US dollars, textile and garment exports in March reached US$ 26.39 billion, up 82%month—on—month and 20% year—on—year. From Janu—ary to March, the export of textiles and clothing was US$ 67.23 billion, down 6.8% year—on—year, and the decline was narrower than that of last month.

From January to March, 2023, the cumulative ex—port of textiles and clothing was 462.3 billion yuan, up 0.71% over the same period of last year, of which the export of textiles was 220.45 billion yuan, down 5.1%,and the export of clothing was 241.85 billion yuan, up 6.7%. In March, textile and clothing exports reached180.01 billion yuan, up by 28.9%, of which textile exports reached 88.03 billion yuan, up by 17.5%, and clothing exports reached 91.98 billion yuan, up by 42%.

From January to March, 2023, the cumulative export of textiles and clothing was US$ 67.23 billion, down by 6.8%, of which textile exports were US$ 32.07 billion, down by 12.1%, and clothing exports were US$ 35.16 billion, down by 1.3%. In March, textile and clothing exports reached 26.39 billion US dollars, up by 20%, of which textile exports reached 12.905 billion US dollars, up by 9.5%, and clothing exports reached 13.485 billion US dollars, up by 32.3%.
