A rhino and a zebra became good friends

When a baby rhino (犀牛) was found weak and alone in a national park in South Africa,she,a lucky rhino,was immediately transported to the ICU at the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary.At only a few hours old,she was struggling to survive.She needed care round the clock(昼夜不停)and treatments to boost her weak immune system.Getting healthy wasn't easy,but she didn't need to go on this journey alone.

The baby rhino arrived at the shelter in December and was named Daisy,but another hurt animal had already arrived the month before.It was a baby zebra named Modjadji.Although she isn't the same species,she understood what Daisy had been through.Modjadji was admitted to the shelter's ICU at the end of November after being found motionless and barely breathing in the reserve after heavy rains and storms.Modjadji was thought to be just a week old.

As unlikely as their friendship may seem,Daisy and Modjadji were quick to form a deep connection.As they grew stronger and braver,their curiosity got the best of them,and they started interacting with each other.Rhinos are very social animals and require companionship.Modjadji is a fantastic company for Daisy and very affectionate toward her.

We can't get over how cute they are and neither can the fans they've got on the local social media,where they love to give updates on this fantastic duo! Once Daisy and Modjadji are healthy enough,the shelter will let them go so they can live freely with their fellow rhinos and zebras.
