Today, my father and I watched a new moviecalled My Country, My Parents. It is a four-part-movie specially shot for National Day. It describedthe process in which China became powerful.
The first story was a group of Chinese EighthRoute soldiers defending China from the Japaneseinvaders. The second part described the developmentof the first rocket made by China. The main characterwas a little boy whose parents worked in developing the rocket. The next part told thestory of first advertisement video in China. The last story was based on fantasy, as itdescribed China in 2050 developing time travel technology.
This movie described four great milestones in the construction of a powerfulcountry. It taught us history and the difficulties people before us overcame and thesacrifices they had to make to build such a strong country through fascinating stories.National Day is a time when we should honor them and remind ourselves not to takeanything for granted because people fought hard to build our future.
