肯尼亚驻华大使萨拉·塞雷姆来渝访问

11月13至16日，肯尼亞驻华大使萨拉·塞雷姆应邀率团来渝访问。这是继2019年5月塞雷姆大使来渝出席西洽会后第二次访渝。

16日，市政府外办主任章勇武会见塞雷姆大使一行。章勇武介绍了重庆市最新经济社会发展情况，回顾了重庆与肯尼亚友好交往历程，并就持续加强与肯在高层互访、贸易投资、教育培训等领域合作进行了深入交流，希望与肯尼亚驻华大使馆携手努力，继续推动两地友好情谊与务实合作。

塞雷姆表示，新冠肺炎疫情发生后，双方互致慰问，在肯方最需要帮助的时候重庆市及时伸出援手，给予肯尼亚抗疫物资援助，生动体现了“患难见真情”的真挚情谊。她表示，将积极与重庆方面加强对接，共同推动两地合作再上新台阶。

访渝期间，代表团一行参访了重庆嘉发实业（集团）有限公司、重庆数字经济发展展示中心，就投资合作等事宜进行了深入沟通。

From November 13 to 16， Ambassador of Kenya Sarah Serem was invited to lead a delegation to visit Chongqing. This is her second visit to Chongqing after Ambassador Serem came to the city to attend the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade in May 2019.

On the 16th， Zhang Yongwu， Director General of Foreign Affairs Office， met with Ambassador Serem and her delegation. Zhang Yongwu introduced the latest economic and social development of Chongqing， reviewed the course of friendly exchanges between Chongqing and Kenya， and conducted in-depth exchanges on continuing to strengthen cooperation with Kenya in high-level visits， trade and investment， education and training. He hoped to cooperate with Embassy of Kenya in China to strive hand in hand to further promote friendship and practical cooperation between the two parties.

Ms. Serem said that after the outbreak of COVID-19， the two sides exchanged solicitude. Chongqing promptly extended a helping hand when Kenyan needed help most and provided anti-epidemic supplies to Kenya， vividly manifesting the sincere and genuine friendship. She said that she would actively strengthen the interaction with Chongqing and jointly promote the cooperation between two parties to a new level.

During her visit to Chongqing， the delegation visited Chongqing JAFA Group Company Ltd. and Chongqing Digital Economy Development Exhibition Centre， conducted in-depth communication on investment and cooperation matters.

Wang Wen， Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government， and the head of European and African Affairs Division accompanied the relevant events.
