When I was young， you helped me grow，

And taught me all I had to know

Of love and trust and faith and hope，

And everything it takes to cope.

You may have thought I didnt hear，

Or maybe that you werent quite clear;

But all the things you taught to me

Were heeded very carefully，

And now I want to thank you for

Your love， your care， and so much more！

當我还是小孩子的时候，您帮助我成长，

教给我什么是爱、信任、忠诚与希望，

这一切都是我必须知道的，

还教给我如何处理事情。

当时您也许以为我听不见，

或者以为您表达得不够清楚;

然而所有您教给我的事情

我都非常细心地加以留意，

现在我想对您表示感谢，

感谢您对我的爱，对我的关怀

以及给予我的一切！
