Whats the story about?
Santa and his family live in
the North Pole. Santa has two
sons, Steve and Arthur. He wants
to pick Steve to be the next Santa
because Arthur always gets
himself into trouble.
This year, after a busy Christmas Eve, the Santa family are celebrating( 慶祝) their successful(成功的)work. But then they find out there is one bicycle left(剩下的). They didnt deliver(送)it to a little girl.
Steve thinks its just a small mistake(错误). Theres no need to deliver(投递)this one present. And there are only two hours left before Christmas morning. But Arthur believes every kid should get his or her Christmas present. Steve wont let Arthur use the new high-speed sleigh(高速雪橇). So Arthur sets off with grandfathers old sleigh and five reindeer(驯鹿).
How does Santa deliver all the presents in one night? Will Arthur give the bicycle to the little girl before Christmas morning? Who will become the next Santa? Lets find the answers in the movie Arthur Christmas.
Meet the Santa family:
Arthur is Santas youngest son. He is warm-hearted(热心肠的), but always clumsy( 毛手毛脚的). Arthur loves children and everything about Christmas. He writes back to every letter kids send to Santa.
Arthurs elder brother Steve is tall, smart and strong. Steve made lots of new machines. So they can deliver the presents faster. But he is arrogant(傲慢的). And he doesnt like Christmas as much as Arthur. He thinks Christmas is just a day of work.
Santa is nice. But he is no longer(不再)a good leader(领导人)at the North Pole. He is slow and often forgets things.
Grandsanta is Santas father. He is 136 years old. He is a strange old man. His false teeth(假牙)often fall out of his mouth. Grandsanta doesnt like modern technology(现代科技). He always says Christmas was much better when he was Santa.
