CIIE Invigorates the Global Market

Todays China has already transitioned into a world market from a world factory. At the second China International Import Expo （CIIE） held in Shanghai in early November， over 3，800 enterprises and more than 500，000 professional buyers from home and abroad together formed the largest procurement and supply platform in the world.

European countries were enthusiastic participators. According to Chinas Ministry of Commerce， of the 64 countries that set up country pavilions at the expo， 17 were from Europe， second only to Asia. The four EU countries of France， Italy， the Czech Republic， and Greece were among the 15 guest countries of honor. Despite the fact that the U.S. government said it would not send senior representatives to attend the fair， American enterprises were very enthusiastic about participating in the expo and had the largest exhibition area.

As an important platform for international cooperation， CIIE has injected new impetus into building an open world economy and a community with a shared future for mankind.
