The secret of shopping 购物“密语”

和朋友一块去纽约免税店购物，她看上了一个Gucci包包，高端大气，非常漂亮。她在想要是拿到国内就可以到公司显摆啦。关键是，打折厉害。标签价格是30% off！ 三折的优惠，到手只要6，000多！那可真是太划算了。这款包包在国内可是要3万多哦。她拿了包包开心地去付款，结果……

售货员很温柔地对她说，“Miss， your total bill is 2，162 dollars.”

“What？ The original price is 3，088 dollars， but why is a 30% discount so expensive？”

我朋友大吃一惊！3，088美元那不是要2万多人民币了？和她想的完全不一样。为什么会是这样？

原来，她没有搞清楚30% 的真正含义。在英语中，30% off 的意思“30%去掉了”。相当于我们中国的“七折”。3，088的7折，当然就是2，162了。我朋友还想以926美元的价格拿这个包呢。哈哈！

所以，如果不懂购物的“密语”你就会很尴尬。

一、discount 打折

在国外，经常会有打折。和国内一样，随时都有不同花样的打折。一般标签架子上都会夸张地贴一个红色牌子，上面写着xx% off来表示打折。30% off 是指打七折！依次类推，10% discount指打九折，20% discount 指打八折。

别天真地一看到30% off就 两眼都放光了，以为是打三折！

除了这些花样，店家还有很多“密语”。从包里掏钱之前，一定要仔细看清楚了。

“特价促销”一般可以用sale、bargain、promotion、haggle来表达。

经常使用的打折方式有：

buy one and get one free 就是“买一送一”;

buy two and get one free “买二送一”;

buy one get one 50% off “第二件半价”;

cash back/rebate “满减” （即达到一定的消费额度，会有一定的现金返还）;

coupon “优惠券”（商家提供特定的优惠券，券上有打折的方式）。

二、after⁃sale service 售后服务

除了打折的“密语”，我们还要明白国外其他购物的售后“密语”。

1.exchange 换货

国外的商场一般都会提供一定时段内的换货服务。在满足一定的条件下，顾客可以换货。当然，你一定要仔细阅读其条款，不要上当了。

2.refund 退款

同样地，国外购物大多有限制性的退款条款。只有在满足条款的情况下，才可以退款。

三、bargaining strategy 砍价“利器”

Is there any discount on this...？

这个……有折扣吗？

Its over my budget.

这超出我的预算了。

Can you give me a better deal？

你还可以再便宜一点吗？

Thats a bit out of my price range.

这有点超出我可以接受的价格范围了。
