Ostriches are big birds.

They have long necks and legs.

An ostrich is about 2 meters tall.

It is the largest bird in the world now.

Ostriches live in groups.

They eat grass， seeds， and fruit.

They also feed on snakes， insects， and lizards.

Ostriches have long eyelashes（睫毛）.

Long eyelashes help keep sand out of their eyes.

Even though they have wings， ostriches cannot fly.

But they can run fast.

Ostriches run as fast as a car.

Even a baby ostrich runs faster than a kid on a bicycle.
