Looking for Mum

One day Li Ming caught a little bird. He tied it with a piece of thread and played with it happily. At that time， he saw a little girl crying by the roadside. A policeman saw her， came over and asked her why she was crying and where her house is. When he learned that girl had got lost and she was then looking for her mother， he decided to lead the girl to be back home. Seeing this Li Ming thought the little bird also had its mother and he should set the little bird free so that it could be with its mother again. Then Li Ming untied the thread and returned the little bird to the blue sky.

Net Bar

With the development of the Internet， the net bar plays an important role in peoples life. More and more people， especially students， like to go to net bars. They are absorbed in playing video games， making bad friends and having a chat with “Meimei” on the net in the bar. Some students often go on playing late into the night in the net bar. As a result， not only does it do harm to their health but also produces a bad effect on their studies.

Now a lot of net bars have been shut down in Beijing. But some students go by bus to the net bars at suburbs to play. Fortunately， more and more parents and schools have realized it. Recently， more than six thousand students guaranteed that they would be far away from net bars in Jinzhou city， Liaoning Province. It is quite necessary for the students to get rid of the bad habit.

Equal Rights between Men and Women

In many countries in the world， women are looked down upon. It is more difficult for them to get some work than men. In order to get a job， they sometimes have to tell a lie. Thats unfair. In fact， women can work no worse than men. Theres nothing that women cant do.

Perhaps， they are better at their work than men. For example， in making telephones and computers， many companies would rather employ women， for men cant pick up the small pieces with their fingers. Like， they can also become excellent engineers， doctors and teachers. So I am sure the day will come soon when women can really get equal rights.

Time， time

Lost time is never found again. This is something which I learned very clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began to suffer. I finally realized that something had to be done. It was time for a change. Now I have a new plan for using my time wisely. I have set my alarm clock ahead half an hour. This will give me a head start on the day. I have also decided to keep a log of what I do and when I do it. Looking back on what Ive done will give me some ideas on how to reorganize my time.

Heavy Schoolwork

In my opinion， the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too heavy. While it is true that students need to study， they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time， as some think. It gives them physical exercise， and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be stifled by too much study. Finally， the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress， which is unhealthy physically and mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think， however， that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.

初次約会

After being with her all evening， the man couldnt take another minute with his blind date. Earlier， he had secretly arranged to have a friend call him to the phone so he would have an excuse to leave if something like this happened.

When he returned to the table， he lowered his eyes， put on a grim expression and said，“I have some bad news. My grandfather just died.”
