It was the Tooth Fairy.

“So that‛s what the Tooth Fairy looks like,”Little Miss Curious said to herself.

是牙仙子。

“原来牙仙子是这个样子的。”好奇小姐自言自语地说。

She followed the Tooth Fairy to another house and this time she was able to peek through the window to see what happened next.

So that night Little Miss Curious stayed awake and sometime after midnight when everybody else was sleeping, Little Miss Curious saw a soft green glow bobbing about outside George‛s window.

当天晚上，好奇小姐没有回家睡觉。在所有人都睡着的午夜，她看见乔治的窗前有一道淡淡的绿光在闪动。

She watched as the Tooth Fairy took a coin from her purse, reached under a little boy‛s pillow and pulled out the tooth the sleeping boy had left there before he went to bed.

她看见牙仙子从钱包里拿出一枚硬币，放到一个小男孩的枕头下面，然后拿走了小男孩睡觉前放在那里的牙齿。

The more Little Miss Curious watched the fairy at her work, the more curious she became.

好奇小姐越观察牙仙子，就越对她的工作感到好奇。

Little Miss Curious followed the Tooth Fairy from house to house until the first light of morning.

好奇小姐跟着牙仙子从一家来到另一家，直到迎来清晨的第一缕曙光。

She had to run to keep up.

As the sky began to lighten the Tooth Fairy flew

away towards a wood.

And in the middle of the wood there was a clearing.

And in the middle of the clearing was a tree.

A very tall tree.

她得跑着才能跟上牙仙子的脚步。

天蒙蒙亮的时候，牙仙子向着一片树林飞去。

在树林的中央，有一块空地。

在空地的中央，有一棵树。

一棵很高很高的树。

The Tooth Fairy flew up into the tree.

And of course Little Miss Curious, being the curious person she was, had to follow.

As the sun rose higher in the sky she climbed higher in the tree.

牙仙子飞进了那棵树里。

好奇小姐好奇心这么重，当然要跟上去啦。

随着太阳越升越高，她在树上爬得也越来越高。

Higher and higher rose the sun, up and up went Little Miss Curious, until there in the top most branches of the tree she saw a miniature tree house.

Little Miss Curious peeked through the window and saw a little chair, a little table and a little bed.

And there was the little fairy herself brushing her beautiful teeth!

接着，她看见牙仙子正在刷她那美丽洁白的牙齿！

So now Little Miss Curious knew what the Tooth Fairy looked like and she knew where the Tooth Fairy lived.

这下，好奇小姐终于知道牙仙子长什么样，住在哪里了。

Her curiosity was satis fi ed.

So she went home.

她的好奇心得到了满足。

于是她满意地回家了。

But on the way home she had a thought.

但是在回家的路上，她想起了一件事。

A puzzling thought that, not surprisingly,made her curious.

一件令人困惑的事，这无疑让她感到非常好奇。

She went straight to Mr Wrong‛s house.

好奇小姐径直来到错误先生家。

“You are clever. How did you know the Tooth

Fairy lives in a tree?” she asked.

“你真聪明。你是怎么知道牙仙子住在树里的？”她问。
