The presentation of Tendenze S/S 2020, programmed at the Fabbrica Orobia, marks the start of the run-up to the February 2019 edition of Milano Unica. The itinerary begins to the beat of rap, jazz and funk, the music genres around which the creative vision of the Style Commit-tee, led by Stefano Fadda, is fused, in a creative mix further inspired by the food and culinary traditions of different countries.

“Milano Unica MUSIC MENU” speaks directly to the five senses: from hearing to taste, but also olfaction, touch and vision, in a presentation that, as always, conveys emotions and provides inspiration for all the fashion professionals who participate in the Tendenze event.

In Milano Unicas musical lineup, the most distinctive genres of the XX century are projected into an imaginary future, each accompanied by a dish that shares its style, character and creative approach: “2080 Cous Cous Rap”, “2070 Funky Tabbouleh” and “2050 Bon bon Jazz”. Three styles, three generations and three cultures: the points of departure from which spring the fabrics, colors and materials that characterize the Spring/ Summer 2020 season, featuring original combinations, futuristic projections of traditional elements and multisensory mash-ups.

“For the first time, the venue for the presentation is the Fabbrica Orobia, a location with a long industrial history,” explains Ercole Botto Poala, President of Milano Unica, “Its our way of paying tribute to the manufacturing tradition and know-how of the Italian textile industry, as well as to stimulate an increasingly concrete approach to innovation and sustainability, areas in which industrial processes hold the key to future development.”

“Milano Unicas Tendenze events have always been a cant miss ap- pointment for every fashion professional, because of their ability to interpret the cultural and stylistic moods of a society in continual evolution, and to thus spark creative processes for exhibitors, designers and the new generations, who are the future of fashion in Italy,” added Antonella Martinetto, Vice President of Moda In for Milano Unica, at Tendenze.

“It is important to note how in all three of the themes proposed by Music Menu, there is always a reference to sustainability, evidence of the consideration that Milano Unica continues to dedicate to this critical topic. The suggestions presented today, interpreted creatively by the exhibitors of Milano Unica, will be featured in an innovative installation dedicated to Sustainability and the Trends Area, at the 28th edition of the trade fair, scheduled for 5 to 7 February, 2018,” concluded Massimo Mosiello, General Director of Milano Unica.
