Q: Can you tell us about Tekboy Textile & Dyeing Inc. from the past to the present? Would you give brief information on your product range and your production capacity in terms of yarn and fabric?
Süha: Founded in 1981 by Esen Pamuk?u, Tekboy Textile Inc. Is a family company which started its operations with production of 3 tons yarn dyeing per day. We opened our knitted fabric dyeing plant in Yenibosna in 1986, and the rotary screen printing plant was established in 1996. In 1999, Tekboy Textile & Dyeing facilities in Lüleburgaz was built on a closed area of 12,000 sqm on a 100,000 sqm land and production started the same year. And today we are at a point where on a daily basis we production capacity of 10 tonnes of knitted fabric, 25 tonnes of knitting dye, 8 tonnes of rotary screen printing, 5000 tonnes of digital printing, 5 tonnes Pad-Batch and 10 tonnes of continuous bleaching, around 50 tonnes in total per day. We are also making contract manufacturing and sales to customers for knitting, weaving, finishing, dye, printing and dressing.
Q: What are you paying the most attention to when investing in machinery and technology in your production facilities? Could you give information about the particulars you place importance on in your investments in order to maintain your competition and quality?
Süha: Tekboy Textile & Dyeing has been providing dyeing and printing services to its customers for more than twenty years. In order to sustain quality, the processes are carried out with great precision from raw fabric until packaging. In our production facilities, we firstly care about product diversity. In addition to this, we also give priority to the products with the highest quality and the lowest costs in our investments to maintaining our competitive edge. We believe that dyehouse is of great importance in your production and product quality.
Q: What things do you pay attention to in your investments for your dyeing department? And what are the issues you are sensitive to and what things are indispensable for you?
Süha: One of the things we see the most important in the dyehouse department, I can say, is to have a machine park where we can dye fabrics in various qualities and to utilize low electricity, steam and chemicals by working with the lowest flotation level. This way, we have less effluent water to the environment with a lower pollution both during the dyeing process and the purging process. We are also able to use less water resources for dye finishing in a more economical way by consuming less underground water.
Q: What were the factors that led you to choose the Goller brand? Could you give me a brief information on the start of your collaboration and the process?
Süha: We prefer Goller because it is a well-known and longestablished company that manufactures machines for pre-finishing of weaving and knitting, bleaching, washing, and mercerizing. We can also call the German machine manufacturer Goller, a world leader in the line of continuous bleaching.
Continuous bleaching processes require serious planning and evaluation before investment. One of the reasons we preferred Goller was the fact that Goller designs tailor-made machines to meet special requirements of their customers.
The continuous bleacing machine we use in Tekboy Textile & Dyeing was designed to meet our requirements by the engineers at Goller. We use this machine for weaving, knitting fabrics, desizing, bleaching, optical white, mercerizing, and washing process after pad-batch.
Q: Would you evaluate Goller for giderleritheir after-sales services and supports?
Süha: Problems that we experience after sales and our special requests are redesigned by as we desire by being put together and projected at certain time intervals. Even when there is no breakdown, technicians continue their regular visits in Turkey for possible problems in the machine.
Q: We know that you are a company striving to achieve sustainable targets in quality and adopting the no-error principle. What can you tell about Gollers contribution to your products and production and the advantages it offers in terms of ensuring sustainability in quality?
Süha: Thanks to the high efficiency that Gollers superior performance has contributed to, our company has taken our products to a level with even more quality. As Tekboy Textile & Painting Inc., we use Gollers continuous bleaching machine for all of the rotary screen print- ing, digital printing and Pad-Batch production. Here, we can say that the most obvious difference in the quality of fabrics made with continuous processes compared to processes made in the chopping stage are the absence of batch differences, the lack of enzymes, achieving the desired bleaching surface with energy and workmanship using less water.
Q: You have a policy that is sensitive to environment. Does Goller machines comply with your environmental policy in this direction? Did your choice for this machine also affect your environmental policy?
Süha: The most important advantages of Gollers continuous bleaching in comparison with machines used in discontinuous processes is that the water consumption is at a lower level. While these types of machines consume less water, they also fill the tubs by heating the inlet water with the waste water from the machine. Thanks to such machines, it is possible to have a more economic usage of the water sources, which are ever decreasing in the earth, and that was the biggest factor when we preferred these machines. Saving water, chemicals and energy, Goller both saves the environment and helps reduce our costs to a lesser extent.
Q: Can we get a brief information about your goals, plans, innovations and projects you have for 2018 as Tekboy Textile & Dyeing Inc.?
Süha: Continuing on our way as a company with the approach of “sustainability in quality”, our targets and plans for the year 2018 are to acquire machines for post-printing washing, steaming, printing, automatic color kitchen, napping and sample HT machines until the end of the year and to remain the only one in the sector for many years as our name suggests. I believe we will achieve this with our customer satisfaction, qualityoriented approaches and expertise as well as our hard work. We would like to express our gratitude to Süha N. Artun, Plant Manager and Hakan Nacar, Fabric Operations Manager and to the entire Tekboy Textile & Dyeing Inc. for their hospitality and kind assistance.
