At the invitation of the International Liaison Department and with the company of relevant comrades of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, a delegation of 15 cadres of Partidul Comuniştilor din Republica Moldova headed by the member of the Central Committee of Partidul Comuniştilor din Republica Moldova and the first secretary of Falesti District Committee Valery Mudukecame to visit Chongqing from July 1st to 4th. Yang Daqing, deputy director of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government,accompanied the delegation to join the activities in Chongqing.
During the visit, the delegation visited Orchard Port,Chongqing Shipping Exchange, Hongyan Museum of Revolutionary History, Renhejie Community, City Planning Exhibition Hall and other places to understand Chongqing's participation in the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the spirit of Hongyan, the community-based party building and urban planning. Muduke said that the achievements in Chongqing's economic and social development were impressive and he was willing to continue to strengthen exchanges of experience with China in country’s administration in order to achieve better national development.
On July 10, Tang Wen, deputy director of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, met with China’s General Representative Miyake Hideo of Japan’s All Nippon Airways in Chongqing Foreign Affairs Building.
Tang Wen first introduced in detail the latest economic and social development in Chongqing, the exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Japan as well as the airport system, routes and shipping in Chongqing and highlighted the situation in which Chongqing is making every effort to build an upgraded version of the wholly regional tourism development. He said that Chongqing has close exchanges with Japan and the tourism market has great potential and frequent personnel exchanges. Chongqing is accelerating the construction of an international aviation hub and is planning to open 100 international routes by 2020. It was hoped that All Nippon Airways will seize the opportunity of Chongqing's development and actively promote the opening of direct flights from Chongqing to Japan. The Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government is willing to actively cooperate with All Nippon Airways to promote the opening of direct flights.
Miyake Hideo said that Chongqing has a strong development momentum and there is great potential for personnel exchange market of Chongqing and Japan. He would seriously strengthen the efforts to discuss the opening of direct flights between Japan and Chongqing and hope to maintain close ties and cooperation with Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office to offer the convenience for personnel exchanges between Japan and Chongqing.
On July 13, Zhang Yaqian, deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government, held a working talk with Su Zixian, director of the Liaison Office of Hong Kong SAR Government in Chongqing, to dock the work about exchanges between Chongqing and Hong Kong in the second half of the year.
Zhang Yaqian said that the exchanges between Chongqing and Hong Kong were carried out in an orderly manner in the first half of the year and the economic and trade as well as cultural exchanges had a good response. I hoped that the two sides would work together in the second half of the year to focus on promoting the implementation of the "Policy and Measures for Facilitating the Study, Employment and Life of Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots in Chongqing" and to carry out researches and exchange visits and etc. Su Zixian said that he would fully promote 9 projects in the fields of the release and implementation of policy measures, economy and trade, culture and tourism, civil servants and youth exchanges and etc.
From July 17th to 18th, Wang Guangcheng, a Party member and deputy inspector of Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, led a delegation to investigate the foreign affairs of Zhejiang Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office. The two sides held a informal forum mainly focused on the reform of the leadership system of foreign affairs and the promotion of making local foreign affairs serve China's overall diplomacy and other aspects.Chen Jiangfeng, a Party member and deputy director of Zhejiang Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Cang Feng, a Party member and deputy director of Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office attended the forum.
On July 14, at the invitation of the Yuzhong District Government,Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office assisted the invitation and organized foreign consular officials to participate in the day trip of the diplomats’ “Mother City Culture”. More than 20 people including Mawana (Cambodian Consul General in Chongqing), Rui Keshan (Philippine Consul General in Chongqing) and consuls and their families from Japan, Italy and Ethiopian were invited to attend the event.They visited many scenic spots characterized mostly by the “Mother City Culture” in Yuzhong District, such as Dongshuimen Wall, Huguang Guild Hall, Rongchuang Baixiang Street and TESTBED 2.
Deng Guanghuai, deputy head of Yuzhong District Government,attended the whole event and said that Yuzhong District owns the most complete and valuable historical and cultural heritages and boosts its long history and profound civilization, which gave birth to the “root” and“source” of Chongqing. On July 10th, the training course with specific subject of outbound tour leaders (to Taiwan) in 2018 hosted by Chongqing Tourism Development Committee invited Yang Yu, the director of the Foreign Affairs Management Office of Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, to hold a lecture with a specific topic of “Focusing on Consular Protection to Achieve Safe Travel” and to carry out an systematic training on such comprehensive knowledge as service standards of outbound tour leaders, disciplines of foreign affairs, overseas consular protection, risk prevention and control of outbound tour teams and etc. More than 100 people of outbound tour leaders (to Taiwan) from the travel agencies in Chongqing attended the lecture.
Through various typical cases of consular protection, Yang Yu introduced the common sense about overseas safety, ways to seek consular protection and the correct way to deal with overseas emergencies, and reminded that Chinese citizens must log in to the “Consular Service Network” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other related websites to learn about security risks and more of the destination before leaving China to travel.It was recommended that outbound teams and individuals(to Taiwan) should give priority to prevention rather than handling and insist the principle of “no training, no guiding”, so that the awareness and handling ability of guides and tourists on overseas risk prevention and disposal can be improved.
