The Capacity Expansion Plan of Yulong Copper Approved

Yulong Copper Co., Ltd., affiliated to West Mining Group, received the Mining License of the P.R.C. issued by Ministry of Land and Resources on July 17, 2018, which approved a new capacity of 19.89 million t/a.

According to report, Yulong copper mine is a super-large mixed copper deposit of porphyry with contact metasomatism, representing the largest single copper mine in China. The Phase I boasts an ore processing capacity of 2.3 million t/a, mainly consisting of oxidized ore (with grade of 3.85%) and mixed ore (with grade of 2.09%) of the skarn-type No. 2 ore body.

The acquisition of the new license marked the major breakthrough in the early preparation for the Phase II expansion project of Yulong Copper. West Mining Group will start the project construction as soon as possible, which is expected to be put into production within 2-3 years. After the project completion, Yulong Copper is expected to achieve an annual capacity of 23 million-t copper ore.

On August 9, 2018, West Mining Group and China ENFI Engineering Co., Ltd. held the signing ceremony of EPC for 18 million t/a concentration plant project of Yulong Copper.
