New Year's Message

Singing the song of triumph, we say goodbye to the old year. And we are full of pride to welcome the New Year. On the occasion of ring out the Old Year and ring in the New Year, on behalf of all the colleagues of World Journal of Integrated traditional and western Medicine (WJIM), I wish authors, readers, friends from all circles, who care for and support us, a successful career, a happy family and all the best.

The year 2017 was an extraordinary year, when the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party (CPC) of China, was successfully convened. During the congress, Xi Jinping, Secretary-general of the CPC,emphasized the policy of supporting both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, and ensuring the preservation and development of traditional Chinese medicine, embodying the Party's and national high degree of attention and support to Chinese and ethnic medicine, providing more favorable condition for the development of traditional Chinese medicine.

The year 2017 was the year when WJIM has been founded for 3 years. We seriously implemented the "Journals of Excellence" project by China Association for Science and Technology, which was successfully completed for the past 3 years and resulted in great achievements. Meanwhile, we organized the most in fluential periodical leaders, academic advisers of the journals and experts of the executive editorial board to conduct many strategic seminars on academic strategy of the way to improve the quality of the journal, greatly encouraging the authors to summit papers and improving the quality of the manuscripts.

English vision of WJIM has just set up with less experience. To successfully run the journal, we need strong support and sel fless contribution from the editorial board and the long-term great kindness and complete confidence of the authors and readers, WJIM has been growing up strong since its founding. Hereby, I express one's sincere thanks to the editorial committees,editors, who made hard work to the journal; to the wide readers, authors who have been supporting us; to the academic advisors,who provided academic guidance to the journal and to experts who examined and approved the manuscript.

The east wind blows heavily and the spring is coming. The continuation of the Chinese chapter is full of passion.Looking back to the past, we are encouraged. Looking into the future, we feel that we will take a heavy burden and embark on a long road.

At the beginning of this year, I believe that, under the correct guidance of the spirit of 19th CPC congress and the careful guidance of the superior departments, with the continuous support of the experts, wide readers and authors, all the staff of the journal will work hard, with more enthusiasm, with the improvement of the journal quality as the core, and we will work hard for building exquisite journal.We will unswervingly walk towards the aim of constructing a high level academic journal of Chinese and Western medicine; continue to make our contribution to the international development of traditional Chinese medicine. Let us not forget the very beginning mind itself and move forward bravely no matter what you will confront.
