Customs about Dragon Boat Festival 关于端午节的习俗

Zongzi is a kind of food made with sticky rice（糯米） and is wrapped（包裹） with reed（芦苇） or bamboo（竹） leaves. It has different shapes（形状） and fillings（馅料）. In the northern part of China，people use red jujube（枣） as fillings. In the southern part of China，people use beans（豆子），fresh meat（鲜肉） or egg yolk（蛋黄） as fillings.

Dragon boats look like Chinese dragons（龙）. A team（队） of people row（划） a dragon boat together（一起）. At the front of the boat，one team member（队员） beats（敲打） a drum（鼓） to encourage（鼓励） his teammates（队友）. It is said that the winning（獲胜的） team will bring luck and happiness to the people of their village.

During the holiday，children will wear colorful silk threads（丝线） on their wrists（手腕） or ankles（脚踝）. It is said that colorful silk threads can drive away（赶走） evil spirits（恶魔） and protect（保护） children from diseases（疾病）.
