大漆,据说世上最好的保护膜。器物只要涂过一层大漆,即使用硝酸或盐酸也无法溶解,也没有细菌可以侵入。被大漆所包容的器皿,能耐过数十年乃至上百年的消磨。
大漆的永恒之美吸引着王黎阳。
王黎阳,34岁,重庆市大漆传统制作技艺第三代传承人。在他手中,一件漆器从设计稿到成品需要两年时间。每一件漆器像是陪他一起成长的伙伴,不仅映射出成长的步伐,审美的意趣,倾注的心血,还有他对工艺十年如一日的苛求。
It is said that Chinese lacquer is the best protective film which can protect objects from bacteria. Even nitric acid or hydrochloric acid cannot dissolve Chinese lacquer.The ware coated with Chinese lacquer would not be worn down or faded over decades or even a hundred years.
Wang Liyang has been deeply attracted by the everlasting beauty of Chinese lacquer.
Wang Liyang, 34-year-old, is the third-generation inheritor of Chinese traditional lacquer craftsmanship in Chongqing. A piece of lacquer ware will cost him two years from designs to finished products. Each work means a partner to grow up with, they witnessed his growth and dedicated efforts as well as reflected his aesthetic interest and strict self-request.
王黎阳的工作室隐在长江边一处废弃的老厂区里。他家离这里不算远,可他仍不想耗费时间往返,索性搭了张小床,24小时待在工作室里。
闲聊间,王黎阳下意识拿起打磨石,打磨富贵岁朝图橱柜的图案。这个橱柜他已经做了一年半时间,年底就要交工了。王黎阳认死理,“做多少就要磨多少,一遍一遍细细地打磨,直到漆器表面非常平滑,一点瑕疵都没有。”
Wang’s workshop locates in an abandoned factory along the Yangtze River.His home is not so far from there. However,in order to save the round-trip time, he has set a small bed in his studio to stay overnight.
During conversation, Wang Liyang picked up a stone subconsciously to polish the painting named as Fugui Suichao (one of the Chinese Traditional Painting) on a cabinet. He has devoted to this cabinet for one and a half years and will finish it at the end of this year. Wang adheres to the old wisdom, “the pattern should be polished again and again until it owns smooth surface without any flaw.”
漆艺步骤繁多。单是木胎上就要做29道工艺,生漆涂刷、封固、补填木屑、刮底漆灰、通体裱布,再分别刮粗、中、细灰等,而后才是堆漆。
“要想堆出山水人物建筑的层次关系,堆漆要做两百到四百遍。”王黎阳轻描淡写地说着,没有刻意强调工序之难。对他来说,心不觉难,事就不难。
Lacquer wares require complicated manufacturing processes. For instance,the raw wooden needs to go through 29 processes as painting raw lacquer,sealing, filling sawdust, removing primer ash and mounting cloth, etc.Then, thick, middle and fine ash should all be removed. Finally, the process of piling lacquer follows.
“The hierarchical relations can be shown among the Landscapes, figures and architectures after repeating the process of piling lacquer for two to four hundred times.”Wang mentioned it lightly without emphasizing on the complicated processes. For him, it is easy to do anything if you treat it calmly.
王黎阳毕业于四川美术学院漆画装饰设计专业。大学时,他倾心于中国古代大漆技艺,最喜欢汉唐鼎盛时期的漆器,“质地温润如玉,色彩和艺术效果万文千化。”他分析自己的性格适合做大漆,原因是,摩羯座细心、耐得住寂寞。
毕业后,全班21人,只有他一人从事漆器。
生活越简单越好,王黎阳这样想着,把精力和感情都用在了复杂的作品设计与制作上。“每一单都不一样,每一个都是新的设计,工艺要求,新的制作方案,每次都是新的挑战。”
Wang Liyang graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, majoring in Lacquer Painting Decorative Design.During college, he was drawn to Chinese lacquer craftsmanship, especially preferred lacquer wares from the prosperous period of Han and Tang Dynasty to all others. “They have mild, fine and smooth textures and various color and artistic effects.” He analyzed his Character as a Capricorn man, who is blessed with carefulness and has strong tolerance to loneliness, so that he thinks he is born to make Chinese lacquer.
After graduation, he was the only one engaged in lacquer wares among all 21 students in his class.
He believes that simper life is better. So he puts all energy and emotion into the design and creation of complex lacquer wares. “Each order means a new challenge for me because they require different designs,process requirements and production plans.”
