The Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is one of the finest and most technologically advanced conference centres in Europe with a total offering of 143,000 square meters, a choice of 18 meeting spaces, expansive exhibitions areas and sweeping foyers.
A landmark building
MAICC is a landmark in Athens and is situated in the centre of a vibrant, modern city that was transformed to host the 2004 Olympic Games.
MAICC is an integral part of the Athens Concert Hall Organisation whose facilities have been globally applauded since its opening in 1991. Founded in 1981, the Athens Concert Hall Organization is a non-profit-making organization administered by an eleven-member board of trustees, the majority of whom are appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Finance, and whereas three of them are appointed by the Friends of Music – also a non-profitmaking charitable association.
Convenient transportation
The Centre is on a direct metro line to the award winning Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, journey time 37 minutes, making it extremely accessible for international delegates travelling from and to global destinations. Megaron is also very close to major hotels, many of which are within walking distance. And if that werent enough, major museums, shops and fine dining are all just minutes away.
International Ferry connections connect Athens to Brindisi in Italy whilst high-speed catamarans, hovercrafts and ferries connect Athens to the hundreds of Greek islands.
Incorporated performing arts fun
Megarons aesthetics put it firmly in a class of its own. The international conference centre offers not only a stunning environment, exceptional aesthetics, and cutting edge technology but also unrivalled client service.
Whats more, with a year round world-class performing arts programme, MAICCs clients are able to offer their delegates an unforgettable experience. MAICC has been hosting world-class opera, dance, classical music, jazz and other performing arts events since the original centre opened in 1991, and to great international critical acclaim. This allows event organizers to incorporate culture into their programme or supporting social programme, without having to go more than a few steps away.
