In order to give play to the basic advantages of rare earth new material industry in Baotou City, strengthen the application of rare earth new material in the fields as metallurgy and equipment manufacturing, and promote the integrated development of related industries in Baotou, the local government made the strategic decision to deploy the planning and construction of rare earth new material industry park, and recently published the Ten Policies to Support the Development of Rare Earth New Material Industry Park, which strengthened the support for material supply, land utilization, electricity price, funds and talent introduction, so as to promote the agglomeration of factors as industry, funds, technology and talents in the Park, striving to build a new height for the transition from old driver to new driver of the rare earth industry and build Baotou into a national rare earth industry base.

According to Sun Liankun, Deputy Director of Baotou Investment Promotion Bureau, Baotou Municipal Party Committee and People’s Government have decided to accelerate the construction of the rare earth new material industry park, give play to the functional complementation advantage, promote the concentration of cutting-edge rare earth new material and key strategic rare earth industry, and strive to build Baotou into a leading rare earth R&D, production and application base in China.

To fundamentally change the situation of rare earth exploration and sales simply, accelerate the transition from old driver to new driver, optimize the service environment of investment promotion policy, and promote the upgrading of rare earth industry, Baotou government published the Ten Policies to Support the Development of Rare Earth New Material Industry Park on June 6, which required to guarantee the supply of rare earth material, reduce the land cost, support fixed assets investment, implement preferential electricity price policy, strengthen industry funds support, increase subsidies, implement investment incentive policy, optimize business service environment, advance talent introduction and encourage technological innovation.

Next, Baotou Commission of Economy and Information Technology will supervise the Park to continue to comprehensively implement the Ten Policies for supporting the development of the Park, promote the project introduction and construction, accelerate the upgrading of the Park into a national industry park, and promote the high-quality development of local economy.
