英语写作是英语教学过程中非常重要的环节,也是提高学生英语综合能力的重要方面。因此,英语写作教学应该是一个循序渐进的过程,不可一蹴而就。这就要求我们一线教师从教学实际出发根据新课程(标)发展学生的写作技能,提高学生综合语言运用能力的要求,认真研究英语写作的各个环节和各个方面,边实践边总结,边改进边提高。
通过高中三年的英语学习,大部分学生对英语基本句型、过渡衔接、文章结构不成問题,但是如何在千变万化的写作内容上做至言之有物却并非易事,如果我们经常循序渐进地训练高中三年完全可以达到预期的目的。
首先,对于给定的内容我们要学会合理添加句子,附加成分作解释说明。eg:1. It will be much more important for us to study harder and harder as we are in a competitive society.
(由于我们处于竞争型的社会中,学习对于我们来说越来越重要。) 2.There were something unrelated to that they interrupt the showing of the play, which made the people who are watching it impatient .Some of them even annoyed/making the people impatient and some of them even annoyed.(一些与电视剧无关的东西的播放使得观看的人民很不耐心,有些甚至使人们很生气。) 3. The sign is not placed a clear place, so there will be severe danger. In case of that case, it is hardly impossible for the people who are shopping to escape. (那儿的标牌并不是很清楚,因此会有潜在的危险。一旦有危险购物的人们就很难逃走。)这三个句子分别增加了原因、结果和目的状语使描述的内容更加充实完整。附加成分作解释说明,表达不同原因的句型有:There are several reasons for this,…;The reasons are as follows…;The reason for … is that…;The reason why … is that…. 表达无需说明的事实的句型有:It goes without saying that…;Its needless to say that…;Needless to say that…;Its obvious that….
其次,根据话题添加谚语(proverb) eg:1. As an old saying goes, “No pains, no gains.”We should concentrate our mind on the things that we are doing with.(正如谚语所说不劳无获,因此我们应该集中精力学习。) 2. It is known that, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” It is important for everyone to take exercise.(众所周知脑逸结合,锻炼身体对于每一个人来说都很重要。) 3.He keeps company with the wolf will learn to howl. 近朱者赤,近墨者黑。So we should make good friends in our daily life.4. As the saying goes, “Time and tide wait for no man.” It is high time for us to make great use of time.(该是我们发奋努力的时候了,因为岁月不等人。) 英语写作时我们可以根据写作内容添加与话题有关的谚语以增强写作内容的丰富性。常用的谚语如:Think twice before you do.(三思而后行)。Practice makes perfect. (熟能生巧)。When in Roman,do as the Romans do. (入乡随俗)。Do it now. (机不可失,失不再来)。Failure is the mother of success. (失败乃成功之母). It is no use crying over spilt milk. (覆水难收)。An apple a day keeps the doctor away. (一天一苹果,医生远离我)。All roads lead to Rome. (条条大路通罗马)。
另外,我们可以通过举例说明增强文章的实效性。For example, we can use something which is recyclable instead of that which is made of something like plastic. We should use repeated-use products, plant varies of trees and save very drop of water and energy. (例如,我们可以利用一些可回收利用的物品而不用塑料制品,拒绝使用一次性产品,多种树,节约水资源和其它的能源。)
最后,在文章的结尾我们通常可以提出倡议或号召。比如关于珍惜用水的问题我们可以这样来描述:Therefore, we have to care about our environment. To protect it, we should call on all the middle school students to save every drop of water, plant more trees and save energy. Otherwise, maybe the last drops of water will be dear like a diamond. As middle school students, we also have a part to play. Every should learn a good piece of tips:we do not care about our environment, it will not care about us. With everyone playing a little part, we can make a difference. The word will be a good place to live. 我们必须关注我们的环境。为了保护环境,我们应该号召周围的人们珍惜水资源,种树,节约每一种能源。否则的话,最后的一滴水就可能会变成我们的眼泪。作为中学生,我们应该发挥一定的作用,我们必须记住:浪费水资源就是在浪费我们的生命,只要人人都献出一点爱我们的世界将会变得更加美好。
Writing a composition is just like making a sandwich. (写作就像制作三明治一样,作料越丰富制作出的三明治就越好吃。) 英语写作如果只列举条款信息就像只用面做的面包,无色无味。但是,如果我们能够适当地增加高级句型,举例说明,增加谚语,文章的说服力就会大大的增强。
