Members of an anti-war NGO based in Kobe, Japan, attend a peace assembly in Nanjing, capital of east Chinas Jiangsu Province, on August 15 to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Japans unconditional surrender at the end of World War II.

Representatives from a number of countries mourned the 300,000 people who died in the Nanjing Massacre committed by Japanese troops during the war. Peace-loving NGOs from around the world gather in Nanjing every year to remember the victims.
