Shenyang to Build The First 100-Billion-Yuan Copper Industry Base In Northeast China
The 6 micron copper foil is widely recognized by the industry as high-standard ultra-thin copper foil. Shenyang Lianli is currently the only company in Northeast China that owns this technology. Meanwhile, the new material of 6N high-purity copper (copper content 99.9999%) has also been successfully developed by this company and recognized by the government and the company plans to produce it within the year.
The equipment manufacturing industry is highly concentrated in Liaoning and the northeastern region, but in a certain period of time, Northeast China was the only region in China that didn't have a single above-scale cooper enterprise, which is vastly disproportionate to the huge demand in the Northeast market. Liaoning Province put forward to establish an innovative, leading, green and low-carbon equipment manufacturing system during the 13th Five-Year period and to become an important base for advanced equipment manufacturing in China. It is urgent to speed up the construction of the copper industry base in Northeast China and to form a relatively complete industrial chain. Therefore, it is urgent to speed up the construction of a copper industry base and develop a relatively complete industrial chain in Northeast China.
According to a director of Shenyang Lianli, ultra-thin copper foil can not only be used for the production of smartphone lithium batteries, but is a required material for products such as electric vehicles, aerospace vehicles and intelligent devices and the quality of copper foil has a direct influence on product performance. For a long time, ultra-thin copper foil has been dominated by the United States, Japan and South Korea. Due to the shortage of raw materials, some production enterprises can only wait in line or even delay orders.
In fact, the industry is not surprised that Shenyang Lianli has broken the monopoly and manufactured ultra-thin copper foil. Lianli's backbone employees were formerly key technical and management employees of Shenyang Smelting Plant, who have maintained the plant's valuable technical archives and develop and innovate products based on market demand. In addition, the introduction of world-class copper electrolytic refining technology and equipment and the world's advanced automated production lines has resulted in international standard copper Grade A, which has guaranteed the supply of quality raw materials for the manufacturing and processing of ultra-thin copper foil.
With high-end technology and equipment, Lianli has achieved refined, green copper smelting throughout the chain by fully utilizing each copper plate. Smelting is performed using natural gas and oxygen enrichment processes; the waste heat of smelting gas is recycled for reuse; copper sulfate and nickel sulfate are precipitated from associated waste liquid; precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium and selenium are extracted from the anode sludge discharged at the end.
At present, Lianli's copper grade A-a high-end product integrating Lianli's multiple proprietary technologies is sold without inventory in the market. The product has been registered on Shanghai Metal Exchange and has received a registration invitation from the London Metal Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The Global Top 500 upstream and downstream enterprises cooperating with Lianli have continued to grow in size and the world's largest non-ferrous metals trader Trafigura has established a long-term procurement relationship with Lianli.
Just last month, Lianli set up a new company with a registered capital of up to 200 million yuan in the Shenyang sector of the Liaoning Free Trade Zone. According to a director of the company, Lianli will upgrade its scientific research and development and market development to a new level through the Free Trade Zone, accelerate the construction of a new nonferrous metal material industrial park and a recycled metal development industrial park, speed up the comprehensive copper resources exploitation and smelting projects between China and Kazakhstan along the Belt and Road and cooperate with more upstream and downstream enterprises to build a 100-billion-yuan copper industry base in Northeast China.
