又是新的一年了，大家肯定有很多的期望和设想。同学们有没有展望未来呢？随着科技的发展，人类征服自然、创造奇迹的能力不断增强。如果今年是2060年，同学们对生活都有哪些美好的憧憬呢？让我们共同期待一下未来的美好生活吧！

Let us suppose1it is now 2060. Of course, things have changed and life is very different.

让我们设想现在是2060年，当然事物已经改变了，生活是非常不同的。

Voyages1to the moon are being made every day. It is as easy to take a holiday on the moon today as it was for the people in 1960 to take a holiday in Europe. At a number of scenic2spots on the moon, many hotels have been built. The hotels are air- conditioned. In order that everyone can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the moon, every room has at least one window.

Farming, of course, is very highly developed. Very few people have to work on the farm. It is possible to run the farm by just pushing a few buttons now and then.

People are now largely vegetarians1. You see, as the number of people increases, the number of animals decreases. Therefore, the people have to be vegetarians and we are healthier both in our bodies and in our minds, and we know the causes of diseases and pain and cures for them, and it is possible to get rid of diseases. No one has to be ill any more.

现在的人大都是素食主义者。你了解的，随着人口数量的增加，动物的数量减少了。因此，人们必须是素食主义者，才能在身体和思想上都更健康。我们了解引起疾病的原因和治疗方法，就有可能摆脱疾病，没有人会再生病了。
