During the 12th Five-Year Program, China Technology Textile is fast developing with expanding scale, increasing benefit and significant achievement, the sub-sectors is also advanced and application expanding, which has well assumed the role of new economic growth point of national textile, is one of path to carry on the upgrading transportation and structural adjustment in textile industry, and gradually become a part of national strategic rising industry and multiplex high tech industry across different sectors.

To this point, President of China Nonwovens& Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), Li Lingshen said that during the five years, they have leaded the whole industry with annual average total output value up to 12.6%, gross export up to 10.3%. Despite the scale of the technological textile industry that is not reach to of the garment or home textile, our science innovation is outstanding, and closer to the international level, some of us are leading the international level.

Li consider that innovations contain all kinds of technological textile industry. By the gradually emphasizing of environmental protection, high temperature filtration fabrics is accelerated to develop, that emerged the increasing demands of capacity and technical investment.

As to rampant demand about medical and health textile has kept the relatively stable growth, with the development of urbanization level, disposable hygiene product like diapers and sanitary napkins etc., has huge domestic market. Products used in terms of national defense, military, livelihood are constantly upgrading. High performance fiber sheet which is produced by Continuous thermoplastic molding technology have been partly substituted for metal material to be energy efficient, environmental and lightweight. Aramid paper and additional cellular material produced by wet molding are used as insulating or weight loss material for aviation, military, High-speed train and racing automobile.

In the aspects of energy conservation and emissions reduction, technological textile industry is advanced because firstly that is cleaner production, relative environmental and most renewable material used. Defective yarn and cloth, coke bottle flakes, waste textiles etc. would be reused of car seats fill construction material and so on. Besides, our industry is actively exploring the washed, degradable, recyclable materials to form a circulation industry chain inside the industry. Based on that, up to 2014, unit increase of energy dissipation reduced by 20% than 2010 in nonwovens industry. using regenerated fibers and waste textiles in industrial textile reached 1,800 thousand tons.endprint

During the 12th Five-Year Program, CNITA links government and enterprises, assisting the government and helping the enterprises to solve their problem. “We participate the policy-making of region and state actively, guiding enterprises to implement the policies, driving the plat of technology consulting, standard establishment and public service, with Industry self-discipline, marketing, personnel training, information service, etc” Li said.

Besides of that, during the period, CNITA have promoted the linking function of intermediate product with status of “2.5 industry”, and emphasized cooperation and exchange such as environmental defense, association of sewing etc. to coordinate production and demand from downstream. Through the promotion of innovation alliance to promote industrial textile, it would be in accord with the national development direction of industrial transformation from manufacture to manufacturing service

In 2014, total output of industrial textile value was 850 billion, up to 79.3% than 2010, 2010-2014, annual average growth rate is 12.6%, total amount of processing fabric was 1230 tons, up to 4.7% than 2010, 10.6% of annual growth, which accounted for 24.6% of processing fabric of textile industry, 1% higher than 2010. Nonwovens yield was 4,400 thousand tons, which increased 57.5% than 2010, with 12% annual average growth.endprint
