The Lantern on the Road of Life

Nowadays，with the booming of the economy and the development of the technology，peoples living standard has been improving remarkablely.The colorful daily activities add much spice to our life，there are so many different and interesting things that we can do in all aspects of our life.But，there is a serious disadvantage of it which is becoming more and more obvious，our purpose now is becoming more and more uncertain imperceptibly.

Addison said，“Every man should have a purpose in life.A man without a purpose lives on，like a cabbage in a field，but he knows no life.” According to him，having a certain purpose has drawn great public attention，but，it is undeniable that this is a controversial issue.It is commonly believed that having a certain purpose is very important，but，according to a recent survey，the fact is that there are few people have real and certain purposes.As far as I am concerned，I think that it is not a good phenomenon for us，the purpose in life is indispensable to us and it plays an increasingly important role in our study and life，we can acquire knowledge and skills better with a certain purpose.From another perspective，if we have a certain purpose in life，we can make full efforts to achieve our goals.But，we shouldnt just have a purpose，but integrate theory with practice，only in this way we can survive in the increasingly keen social competition.

As the old saying goes，great hopes make great man.We should attach great importance to have a purpose，because it is directly related to our future，we still have a long way to go，the purpose like a lantern on the road of our life，if we have a certain purpose in life and focus our time and energy on our purposes，there is no doubt that our purposes will be realized someday！
