“China should withstand economic downward pressure in 2015, maintain strategic focus and continue to pursue a proactive fiscal policy and a prudent monetary policy. China will also put more emphasis on anticipatory adjustment and fine-tuning, and do an even better job at targeted macroregulation to stabilize economic growth and raise the quality and performance of the economy.”

Premier Li Keqiang went on to say in a speech at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2015 in Davos, Switzerland, on January 22 that Chinas growth gear is shifting from high to medium-to-high. This reflects profound adjustments in the world economy as well as in the law of economics.

“The first 15 years of the 21st century have witnessed fast development in China and Africa, which is no doubt one of the most significant events in the world in this period of time. It was also a golden age for the rapid growth of ChinaAfrica relationships. China and Africa have become a community of shared destiny, with deepened traditional friendship, increased political mutual trust, closer practical cooperation in various areas, and strengthened coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs.”

Leading South African social and political commentary magazine The Thinker published Ambassador Tian Xuejuns article titled “Working Together for Common Development” in its Quarter 1-2015 publication volume 63. Mr. Tian wrote, “A developing China will for sure bring enormous development opportunities to Africa, while an emerging and rejuvenated Africa will in turn add important impetus to Chinas development.”
