Planting Trees

March 12th is the Tree Planting Day. All the students of our Class went to plant trees by the Yellow River.

It was a fine day. We got to the school gate before 8：00 to start out together by bike. It took about forty minutes to reach the place by the Yellow River. We were all in comfortable clothes and strong shoes with spades， barrels. All the boys and girls were excited when they got there.

We began to work. The boys dug holes and the girls carried water. We worked very hard and planted about 300 trees. Though we were tired， we felt very happy！

简评：本文是一篇记叙文，要求写发生过的事情。小作者运用了过去时态，选取了每年一次的植树活动作为描写对象，对活动加了些想象，如天气状况、骑自行车去植树、男生女生的分工等细节充实到作文里，让作文丰满形象，富有感染力！尤其是结尾处的though引导的让步状语从句的使用，欲扬先抑， 写出了感受。不足之处是如能谈到植树的作用会使文章增色不少。
