My presentation is inspired by the loneliness in my heart. Its far beyond sentimental. The heart of the work is history, mostly Chinese history. I often think that we expect to be shocked and place focus on things from peoples mouths instead of objective reality, where only life exists. We face a world of surprises which lead us to nowhere. What you see here is not shocking because of its subtlety and dark and gloomy subtext. My hope is nothing but to arouse some disturbance in your heart, like dust floating in a sunbeam.
Traces of Time
Traces of time are inadvertently left in voids of the dust: the shape of the key in the dust left on the plate, the vase and dead insect on the refrigerator, eyeglasses, the stain on the table, a piece of film, bottles, and a knife. Time leaves behind soft yet permanent imprints rather than sudden shocks.
