1. suited adj. 合适，适当

suit， suitable 和fit的用法区别

（1） suitable 的动词形式是suit， 与动词fit都有“合适”之意，但也有区别。以衣服为例，fit是指大小尺寸合适，而suit则是表示衣服穿着很好看，包括款式和花式都合适。如：

1） Do you think this style suits me？ 你觉得这种款式适合我穿吗？

2） These shoes dont fit me—have you got a larger size？ 这鞋我穿着不合适——你们有大一点的吗？

3） It doesnt suit you to have your hair cut short. 你头发剪短了不好看。

4） The seven oclock train will suit us very well. 七点钟的火车对我们正合适。

（2） 形容词suitable后可接for sth.和to sb.。如：

1） I dont think I should be suitable for the post. 我认为自己不适合这个职位。

2） The work was not suitable to me. 那工作不适合我。

（3） 形容词fit后只能接介词for， 且句子主语多用人表示。

1） The new manager isnt fit for his position. 新经理不胜任他的职务。

2） It would be months before he was fit for work. 要过几个月他才能适合工作。

3） My sister is just fit for a job as teacher. 我妹妹正适合教师这一工作。

4） The prime minister was a wise， honest man who was fitter for his office than anyone else. 首相是个聪明、诚实的人，比任何人都称职。

right 做合适讲时相当于one of the most suitable 最合适的。

I think shes definitely the right person for the job. 我认为她是此工作的最合适人选。

A huge development like this isnt right for such a small village. 如此大发展对一个小村庄而言不是最适合的。

2. option—choice n. 选择；选择自由；供选择的事物

可能做一名当地的杂货店店主会是更好的选择。

optional adj. 可选择的

3. actually 实际上，事实上

5. correspond with... 和……相对应；与……相符合

3. refresh vt. 使恢复精神，使凉爽；刷新，更新

4. yawn vi. 打哈欠

5. roundabout n. 环形交通枢纽；环岛

6. bond n. 关系；联系

7. wag v. 摇动，摇头或晃动手指（表示不赞成）

6. give sb. the edge

[课文原句再现] It can also give you the edge over other candidates， so remember to check your spelling， punctuation and grammar. 这也会让你比其他应聘者略胜一筹，因此要记得检查你的拼写、标点和语法。
