Arable Land Polluted Heavily In China
As the second largest economic body, China is paying a high price for its fast economic growth. In the past 30 years, a revolution happened to China’s agriculture, with its food production amount doubled. China relies on high-yielding crops. For better harvest, excessive chemical fertilizer has been mixed into the soil, of which 65% were improperly used. Rivers and farmlands were therefore polluted, and the toxic substances stayed in the soil. Soil pollution is one of China’s major health problems.

Leave Beijing, For My Kids
Air pollution is a key challenge facing foreign companies in China , and is an underlying reason why many expatriate workers choose to leave Beijing. Among them was Marc van der Chijs, who arrived 13 years ago and co-founded leading Chinese online video site Tudou. In March, he packed up and left Shanghai, and headed for Vancouver. “I was looking for a place where my kids can grow up in a healthy environment,”he said.

No Toilet Paper In The Toilet
Chinese people are used to bringing toilet paper when they go to the toilet, which is true especially in some small cities. No toilet paper is a big problem for the buildings in China. In 2012, the then Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Guoshuqing said while talking about China’s securities internationalization, “We talk about internationalization everyday. The commission should be internationalized first. No toilet paper in the toilet; No talking about internationalization.”

Openness And Transparence Against H7n9
A new and deadly avian influenza virus hit Shanghai, the prosperous financial center of China. Shanghai municipal government issued and updated news in the microblog, similar to Twitter, which is quite different from what happened ten years ago. This contrast displays China’s openness and transparence.

No North Korea Collapse
China really doesn't want North Korea to collapse. For one thing, the trickle of North Koreans currently crossing the border would turn into a flood, leaving China with a messy humanitarian situation on its hands. Secondly, a North Korean coRIVHoRslb1JbYquOAZ0MKIIQTUG45Fn3IZMj4Dwu0PE=llapse would no doubt foster the creation of a unified, pro-U.S. Korea on China's northeastern flank, depriving Beijing of a buffer against American interest. For these reasons, China needs North Korea to stay alive , and North Korea knows it.
