Lisbon，the Western Capital of the European Continent

Lisbon is the capital and the largest seaport city of Portugal（葡萄牙）. Because of the Atlantic current （大西洋暖流）， the climate in Lisbon is very good. It will not freeze in winter and isnt hot in summer.

里斯本是葡萄牙共和国的首都和葡萄牙最大的海港城市。受大西洋暖流的影响，里斯本气候良好，冬不结冰，夏不炎热。

There are more than 250 parks and gardens in Lisbon. On both sides of the road， there are pine trees， palm trees， olive trees， fig trees and so on. The plants are evergreen and the flowers are in full bloom （开花） in the city.

里斯本市内有公园、花园250多个。道路两旁有松树、棕榈树、橄榄树和无花果等树木。城市终年草木长青，鲜花盛开。

There are many cenotaphs（纪念塔） and monuments（纪念碑） in Lisbon. The Belem Tower （贝伦塔） is on the Atlantic shore. It was

built in the 16th century. It seems that it floats（漂浮） on the water at high tide （涨潮时）. The navigation monument nearby is very beautiful and magnificent（雄伟的）， just like a huge sailing boat on the sea.

里斯本有许多纪念塔和纪念碑。位于大西洋岸边的贝伦塔，建于16世纪初期。涨潮时，似浮在水面上，景色动人。附近的航海纪念碑，造型优美，宏伟壮观，远看好像航行在碧波中的巨型帆船。

The beautiful bathing beach in western Lisbon is a famous tourist site in Portugal. It attracts more than one million tourists from all over the world every year. Lisbon has become the biggest tourist city in Portugal.

里斯本西部美丽的海滨浴场，是葡萄牙著名的旅游区，每年吸引着世界各地100多万游客。里斯本已成为葡萄牙最大的旅游城市。

The City Festival which is held in Lisbon every year is a traditional festival for Portuguese（葡萄牙人）. On that day， every district will hold a grand parade （游行）. In the parade， people will wear colorful traditional dress， holding a paper lantern in the hand. Famous buildings and the interesting life of the citizens are drawn on the paper lanterns.

里斯本每年举行一次的城市节是葡萄牙人民传统的民族节日。在城市节这天，各区将举行盛大的游行，在游行队伍中，人们穿着五颜六色的传统民族服装，手上举着纸糊的灯笼，灯笼上面画着著名的建筑物和市民们妙趣横生的生活情景。
