When we think of Canada,we think of maples.Canada is known as“a country of maples”,and the Canadians have a deep love for the beautiful maple trees and think they are their national treasures.

The national flag of Canada is called the Maple Leaf Flag.That’s because its feature is the large red maple leaf in the middle against a snow-white background.

The national emblem of Canada is the Canadian maple leaf.The Canadians began to use it in the mid-nineteenth century.

Canada’s national flower is called the“sugar maple”.Do you know that this plant can produce sweet maple sugar?A fifteen-year-old maple can produce almost 2.5 kilogram of sugar every year.

当我们想到加拿大的时候就会想到枫叶。加拿大被称为“枫叶国”，加拿大人十分喜爱枫叶，他们把枫叶当做国宝。

加拿大的国旗被称为枫叶旗。这是因为国旗白色背景后面有一面大的枫叶。

加拿大的国徽也是加拿大枫叶。加拿大是在十九世纪中期开始使用这个国徽的。

加拿大的国花叫做“糖枫”。你知道这种植物可以产甜甜的枫糖吗？一株有15年树龄的枫树一年可以产2.5公斤的糖。
