“To fall out” means to become loose and drop.掉落,脱落

◆His hair is falling out after medical therapy.他接受药物治疗后,头发在脱落。

◆My tooth finally fell out.我的一颗牙终于掉了。

“To fall through” means to not be completed or not happen.落空,失败

◆Our plans fell through because of lack of money.我们的计划由于缺钱而落空了。

◆The party is going to fall through as most of the guests are not available.由于大部分的宾客都不能来,晚会不得不取消了。

“To fall for something” means to be tricked into believing something that is not true.信以为真

◆ I’m surprised you fell for that trick.我感到惊奇,你竟中了那个诡计。

◆ Don’t fall for his words.He is a cheater.不要相信他的话。他是个骗子。“To fall about” means to laugh a lot.捧腹大笑,笑得前仰后合

◆David made a joke so funny that we all fell about laughing.大卫讲的笑话太好笑了,我们都笑得前仰后合。

“To fall on” also means to take responsibility for somebody or something.(责任)落在……身上;由……负担

◆The full cost of the wedding fell on the bride’s parents.整个婚礼的费用由新娘的父母承担了。

◆Looking after his younger brother fell on him when he was only 12.他只有十二岁就要负责照顾弟弟了。

“To fall apart” means to be in very bad condition so that parts are breaking off.散架,破碎

◆I have told you not to loan your car to Peter.Now you can’t complain about it falling apart.我已经告诉你不要把你的车借给彼特。现在车要散架了,你不能埋怨。

◆I am sorry to keep you waiting as the printer is falling apart.很抱歉要您久等了,打印机出了毛病。

“To fall for someone” means to be strongly attracted to somebody or to fall in love with somebody.爱上,倾心于

“To fall apart” also means to have so many problems that it is no longer possible to exist or function.破裂,崩溃
