NEW AL-BASHIR CHARGES
Sudan
The International Criminal Court(ICC) issued a second arrest warrantfor Sudanese President Omaral-Bashir on July 12. The newwarrant has added three countsof genocide to the charges alreadylisted in the original warrant,which was issued in March 2009.The Sudanese Government doesnot recognize the ICCs jurisdictionand has said the Haguebasedcourt is out of touch withreality “on the ground” in Sudan.
