如何用英语“提建议”？

在英语中，“提建议”的表达方式有多种，现就常见的用法总结如下：

1．用“Why not+动词原形？” 或“Why dont we/you+动词原形？” 提出看法，征求对方意见，表示“你/我们为什么不……？” 例如：

Why not take a chance on it? 为何不冒险试一试这件事？

Why not make your dress instead of buying it?

为什么不做衣服，而要去买呢？

Why dont you come and sit next to me?

你为什么不来紧挨着我坐呢？

Why dont we go and ask our teacher for help?

我们为什么不去找老师帮忙呢？

2.“What/How about+名词或动名词”提出建议，表示“……怎么样？” ，“……好吗？”或“……行不行？”about是介词，后跟名词、代词或动词的-ing形式。例如：

What about a cup of water? 喝杯水，好吗？

——How about having a cup of coffee with me?

和我一起喝杯咖啡好吗？

——All right. 好的。

What about going out for a meal? 出去吃饭，好吗？

What about asking them to dinner on Friday evening?

星期五晚上请他们吃饭，你看呢？

3.用“lets…”提出自己的建议，表示“让我们做……”；Lets后接动词原形。例如：

Lets go and have a picnic this Sunday. 这个星期天我们去野餐吧。

Lets do it together. 我们一起做吧。

——Lets go and buy some vegetables, shall we?

我们去买点蔬菜好吗？

——All right. 好的。

4.用“Youd better…”表示委婉的建议，意为“你最好……”。Youd better后接动词原形，其否定式为Youd better not do sth., 意为“你最好不要做……”。例如：

Youd better get everything ready ahead of time.

你最好提前把一切都准备好。

Its cold outside. Youd better put on your coat.

外面很冷，你最好穿上外套。

Youd better not tell him about it. 你最好不要把这件事告诉他。

5.用“Shall we/I+动词原形？” 建议对方和自己共同做某事，语气比较委婉，表示“我们/我……好吗？ ” 。例如：

——Shall we go and see a film tonight? 我们今晚去看电影好吗？

——Good idea. 好主意。

Shall I open the window? 我打开窗户好吗？

6.用“Will/Would you please+动词原形”来提出看法, 表示“请你……好吗？”。例如：

Would you please help me with my English? 你帮我学英语，好吗？

Will you please speak more loudly? 请你再大点声说，好吗？

7.用“Would you like+名词或动词不定式”向对方提出邀请或建议，表示“你想要……吗？”语气比较委婉。例如：

Would you like a cup of coffee? 你想喝一杯咖啡吗？

Would you like something to eat? 你要来点吃的吗？

——Would you like to go with us? 你愿意和我们一起去吗？

——Id love to, but Im afraid I cant. 我很想去，但恐怕去不成。

8.用You should/shouldnt do sth. 也可直接建议对方做或不做某事，含有比较强的主观意味。例如：

You should have a good rest and drink more water.

你应该好好休息，多喝水。

You should tell your parents before you go and meet an Internet friend. 你去见网友前应该告诉你的父母。
