Great and Boundless Love—Evening Party in Commemoration of the 110th Anniversary of the Birth of Premier Zhou Enlai, jointly sponsored by the CPAFFC, Michael Eric Bosman Hotung Foundation of Hong Kong and the National Centre for the Performing Arts and presented by the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, was held on the evening of March 4 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Gu Xiulian, vice chairperson of the NPC Standing Committee, Abdulahat Abdurixit and Chen Kuiyuan, vice chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee, and other state leaders attended the evening party. Leading members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Beijing Municipal Peoples Government, CPAFFC President Chen Haosu, Vice Presidents Li Xiaolin, Feng Zuoku, Li Jianping and Secretary General Luo Qin were also present on the occasion.

The evening party which combined features of concert and evening entertainments included various performances such as symphony, poem recitation, songs and Peking Opera with stories told and photos and documentaries of interviews shown in between the performances. Dozens of new and old art stars participated in the evening party and performed wholeheartedly for the audience.

The Master of Ceremony of the evening party had an interview with Madam Chan Fusheng, vice president of Michael Eric Bosman Hotung Foundation, during which she expressed with emotion her profound memories for the premier. She said she knew a lot of people in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, who have never met Chairman Mao or Premier Zhou, but like herself, still highly respect the two great figures. Premier Zhou did not have daughters or sons, yet he treated all the Chinese people as if they were his own children. His love is great and boundless.

President Chen Haosu said, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Premier Zhou, we hold this commemorative evening party for him so as to keep in mind his selfless dedication and lifelong commitment to the rising of China, and express all the Chinese peoples respect for him and the deep memory of him they have cherished. We would like to tell our forefathers that the rising of China has become an indisputable brilliant fact, and Chinas development will lead to world peace, prosperity, stability and happiness. We must encourage ourselves to make the greatest contributions to Chinas rise and progress of the world, so as not to fail the trust of our forefathers.
